Clear navigation and strong visual storytelling make detailed plant and restoration information easier to explore while reflecting the organisation’s practical commitment to restoring and conserving Karoo ecosystems.

Designed to communicate the organisation’s conservation work with clarity and impact, this project focused on creating an engaging online experience that reflects the landscapes, research and restoration efforts taking place across the Karoo. Through thoughtful design, intuitive navigation and immersive visuals, the website helps connect people with conservation while providing a flexible platform for future growth.

uAmba

Designed around u Amba’s mission to create positive digital spaces, the website blends bold visual design with intuitive navigation to support research, collaboration and public engagement. A vibrant colour palette, expressive graphics and accessible user experience work together to showcase the organisation’s programmes, partnerships and knowledge resources while encouraging meaningful conversations and lasting social impact.

SUBECO

The SUBECO website was designed to communicate the importance of cave conservation and subterranean ecology through a modern, research-led digital experience. Bringing together biodiversity monitoring, bat ecology, biospeleology and environmental stewardship, the platform presents scientific work in a clear and engaging way while maintaining the professionalism expected by researchers, conservation authorities and funding organisations. Through thoughtful design, intuitive navigation and strong visual storytelling, the website establishes a trusted digital presence that supports education, collaboration and the long-term protection of South Africa’s underground ecosystems.

Mystical Caves

The Mystical Caves website was designed to capture the excitement of underground exploration while communicating a strong commitment to cave conservation and environmental education. Combining cinematic visuals, immersive video, intuitive navigation and engaging storytelling, the platform introduces visitors to guided caving adventures, educational experiences and hiking activities across South Africa. Every element was carefully crafted to inspire curiosity while reinforcing responsible exploration and the protection of fragile subterranean ecosystems. The result is a distinctive, responsive digital experience that balances adventure with conservation, creating a memorable online presence that reflects the organisation’s passion for the underground world.

Project Biome

Project Biome required a distinctive digital presence to support the launch of a global regenerative initiative and fundraising campaign. Designed and delivered within a tight timeframe, the website communicates their vision through a refined, minimalist aesthetic that balances powerful imagery, elegant typography and purposeful white space. The result is a modern, responsive platform that clearly presents their mission, encourages engagement and provides a strong foundation for future growth as the organisation evolves.

Wild Pantry

Designed as a space for exploration and connection, the Wild Pantry website celebrates South Africa’s indigenous food heritage through storytelling, education and community. Rather than simply presenting information, the platform invites visitors to discover wild ingredients, local knowledge and the people keeping these traditions alive. A clean, contemporary design combined with rich imagery and intuitive navigation creates an engaging digital experience that reflects the project’s mission of reconnecting people with nature, culture and food.

Rethink The Stink

Designed to support a growing environmental movement, the Rethink the Stink website brings together scientific research, advocacy, community action and public education into a clear and accessible digital platform. Focused on responsible wastewater management and the protection of South Africa’s rivers, wetlands and oceans, the website balances technical information with engaging storytelling, making complex environmental issues easier to understand while encouraging meaningful public participation. Through intuitive navigation, strong visual hierarchy and purpose-driven design, the platform provides a trusted space for awareness, collaboration and positive environmental change.

AFSA

Inukshuk Design created the AFSA website as a bold, continent-wide digital platform capable of organising a large and growing collection of campaigns, publications, news, member information and policy resources. The redesign combines strong visual storytelling, bespoke image movement and responsive transitions with an advanced searchable library that allows visitors to filter content by format and theme. Clear information architecture brings AFSA’s campaigns, working groups, extensive membership network and calls to action into one coherent experience, making complex advocacy and research content easier to discover while providing a distinctive platform built for continued growth.

Inukshuk Design created Water Stories as an immersive digital storytelling platform rather than a conventional information website. The design brings together an interactive GIS map, location-based story pools, long-form research, photography, video and layered content to trace Cape Town’s urban water cycle and pollution. Bespoke movement, visual transitions and exploratory navigation make complex scientific, social and environmental material easier to discover, understand and connect.

Quantum Changer

Inukshuk Design created Quantum Changer as an immersive, single-page website that reflects the deeply personal nature of its coaching work. The design uses layered imagery, fluid transitions, atmospheric movement and carefully structured content to guide visitors through Lorraine’s story, approach, services and testimonials without interrupting the journey. Distinct visual sections such as Flow, Reflection and Stillness give the site its own rhythm, while clear calls to action, responsive layouts and integrated booking pathways keep the experience practical and easy to navigate.

Inukshuk Design created the Adaptation Network website as a clear, structured knowledge and engagement platform for a complex multi-stakeholder organisation. The site brings together membership, climate adaptation activities, policy engagement, events, news and an extensive resource hub, including a searchable database of climate tools and atlases. Strong information architecture, intuitive navigation and flexible content layouts make detailed technical material easier to discover and use, while maintaining a consistent identity across the website. The finished platform supports knowledge sharing, capacity building and collaboration across civil society, research, government and practice throughout Southern Africa.
